Sikaflex®-228 is a versatile, self-levelling, elastic polyurethane adhesive designed for professional bonding and sealing applications. Its low-viscosity, self-levelling formulation makes it ideal for bonding a wide range of panel materials, providing a strong, durable and flexible bond.

Sikaflex®-228 is suitable for bonding a variety of panel materials, including solvent-resistant PUR foams, stainless steel and aluminium sheets, timber-based building boards and plasterboard.

It can also be used for sealing seams and lap joints, as well as filling construction joints in floors.

For exterior sealing applications, thin layers of Sikaflex®-228 must be protected from direct sunlight. This can be achieved by overpainting the sealant, using cover strips or applying another suitable protective covering

Before application, testing should be carried out using the actual substrates and conditions to confirm adhesion, compatibility and suitability for the intended application, always follow the relevant manufacturer's technical documentation and application instructions before use
For plastics that may be susceptible to stress cracking, manufacturer compatibility advice should be obtained before use
